This watercolor painting is a twin of an earlier work titled "Silent Night", the same scene depicted in the summer whereas the earlier work depicted the winter. In this image, a single lone tree is the emphasis. In the winter scene, the tree is barren and looks dead in the snow. Here, the tree is surrounded by life.
